Houthi threats do not scare us, says Gargash

Khaleej Times -- The UAE is unfazed by threats from the Houthi militia in Yemen. "It is stupid of them to think they can threaten us," said Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr Anwar Gargash in tweets on Friday.

"We are not scared, and it proves that Operation Decisive Storm in Yemen by Arab countries was justified and necessary to oust the militia," the minister said. "The Houthis appear desperate and the goals of Iran's militias are villainous, and their danger is real. We realised the danger of the change in strategic balance, and the threat only confirmed that."

He said the coalition is waging a battle for the future of the region.

"The Houthis are delusional and their statements reveal a splintered mind," he said. This challenge will only boost Arab solidarity, the minister added.
