Riverland™ Dubai, the free to enter, themed dining and entertainment destination located at the heart of Dubai Parks and Resorts, today unveiled the details of its 15-day Chinese New Year celebrations event. The “Chinese New Year Temple Fair” will run from February 10th-24th, 2018 with various Chinese cultural activities, entertainment and decorations to commemorate the Year of the Dog.
Guests will enjoy a host of Chinese cultural events and performances, including a traditional Chinese market, roaming acts, pasting couplets- which are one of the oldest traditions of celebration and represent wishes for a better New Year. The French Village zone within Riverland™ Dubai will be lit up with a Chinese lanterns display, and will host a favourite Chinese tradition - the red pocket tree - a beautiful wishing tree full of lucky red wishing cards and gifts which adults and children will equally enjoy. Moreover, the river will be decorated with 5 metre long dragon which is a symbol of power, strength, and good luck in the Chinese culture.
Visitors will also experience an authentic Chinese market offering arts and crafts such as clay figurines, sugar paintings, coconut carvings, lacquer ware, in addition to various Chinese food & beverage options. The market will also feature themed roaming acts as well as puppet shows, folk theater, Sichuan opera and a spectacular firework show that will be held on the 15th, 16th and 17th February 2018 at 8:00pm.

The “Chinese New Year Temple Fair” market will open its doors from 12:00pm-9:00pm daily, and guests will enjoy the daily festive entertainment from 3:00pm to 9:00pm, with free parking after 6:30pm.
