Salvatore Ferragamo presents the new Silk Capsule collection

Salvatore Ferragamo invites you to discover the new Silk Capsule collection: a unique selection for Spring/Summer 2020 featuring foulards, accessories and RTW, which will take you on an exclusive journey through the Maison’s historical archives. 

A magical experience in the universe of Ferragamo silks which, since the 1960s, have stood as an unmistakable symbol of the brand’s craftsmanship, and the perfect blend of taste, savoir-faire and Italian decorative style that have made the brand one-of-a-kind in the world. 

The protagonist is a new, extraordinary design: the collection is in fact characterised by a patchwork of iconic elements from the Maison’s silk heritage, such as felines, flowers, shoes, butterflies, elephants and sultans, amidst dreams of the Orient and enchanted flora. Each print is then embellished with small imperfections, deliberately maintained, typical of freehand drawings and sketches, and found in the Milanese archives. Details that make each accessory a veritable work of art to be worn, gifted or simply collected.

For silks, the capsule collection includes foulards, stoles, bandeaux, a headscarf with leather visor and scarves.

For footwear, an unmissable addition is the new Viva Shoe, in a ruffled version, which is accompanied by chunky-heeled sandals, flats and sneakers. 

For bags, the selection focuses on the brand’s latest signature bag inspired by the Viva Shoe and protagonist of the S/S season, and the iconic Boxyz and Ferragamo Studio Bag. 

Last but not least, we find the extensive ready-to-wear selection: from the silk blouson to the trench coat, from pleated midi skirts to dresses and trousers, from blouses to T-shirts, for a complete seasonal wardrobe.

A kaleidoscope of colours and shapes breathes life into a unique composition that once again underlines the Maison’s strong bond with the world of art.

The Silk Capsule collection is also featured on the new ferragamo.com website and on the brand’s social media channels. Thanks to brand new content, such as special video animations, each viewer’s gaze is catalysed by the textures of the silks and the products, which come to life, becoming three-dimensional.
