To celebrate the new Tory Burch boutique at City Walk in Dubai, Tory Burch LLC hosted a women’s empowerment event at the store. The evening began with a panel discussion moderated by Shereen Mitwalli, founder and CEO of The Female Network, which connects women entrepreneurs and business owners across the Middle East. The panel included: Dalia Dogmoch Soubra, food editor of Harper’s Bazaar Arabia and author of cookbook "Food, Love and Life from Dalia's Kitchen;" and Nayla El Khaja, the first female film producer in Dubai and founder of the film and television production company D-Seven Motion Pictures.
Following the program, guests had the opportunity to explore the new space as well as the Tory Burch resort and spring collections whilst listening to music by Dubai’s DJ Tala Samman. Fashion illustrator Samar Sadik Dubai was available to customize drawings for guests as a memento of the evening.
The event aligned with the mission of the Tory Burch Foundation, which launched in 2009 to empower women entrepreneurs by providing access to capital, education and networking opportunities. A wide assortment of the Tory Burch collection is available at the City Walk boutique, including ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags and accessories.
Tory Burch launched in 2004 with a small boutique in Manhattan’s Nolita neighborhood and the designer’s classic but bohemian aesthetic resonated with tastemakers from the very beginning. Over the past decade, the company has grown into a global brand with 180 boutiques around the world. Art, music, travel, interiors and the designer’s own stylish parents are inspirations for the collection.
