Victoria Beckham brought her revered style and fashion insight to the World of Fashion event on 10 October, hosted once again by Mall of the Emirates. Beckham is the well-known creative director of the Victoria Beckham brand and was awarded the prestigious Designer Brand of the Year accolade at the British Fashion Awards in 2011 and 2013. In 2014, she was appointed International Goodwill Ambassador for UNAIDS.

What better platform for clothes mogul Victoria Beckham than a panel discussion on style at a design conference taking place in one of the Middle East's couture centres? The five-day World Of Fashion exhibition took place at Mall Of The Emirates Dubai from 8-12 October and welcomed a host of artists for hour-long private talks about their craft, as well as display their work at the shopping destination for all to see. The headline act, fashion icon Victoria Beckham made an appearance on Thursday evening and told an intimate audience at Mall Of The Emirates: "You ladies are chic here, right?" Giving a talk on her couture career, now comprising an eponymous clothes label and makeup brand, for the mall's annual five-day World Of Fashion event, the Girl Power icon couldn't resist fondly reminiscing on some of her own more famous looks splashed across tabloids and magazines over the last 25 years.

“What I achieved it’s not about luck. It’s about working hard, being focused, having a point of view and not listening to any negativity. Believing in yourself and just dreaming big, dreaming even bigger. Following your heart and fulfilling the passion of your life.”

“I am proud of myself and my team. When I look at the shows and the collections I realized that it is a long way. I really enjoy the journey. Every single day I wake up feeling thankful, grateful for everything I have. I am always educating myself and sharing what I am learning with my community.”
