Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach’s Plantation Restaurant & Terrace famed for its Art & Dine concept has introduced a new experience to diners looking to enjoy maritime delicacies.
Seafood & Art includes delectable oysters, prawns, blue crabs, mussels and sushi at the starters buffet alongside Shrimp Bisque and grilled favourites served at your table. Seafood & Art is available every Thursdays from 7pm to 11.30pm at AED 245 per person including soft beverages and AED 345 per person with house beverages.
The restaurant provides a stunning backdrop to many prestigious art exhibitions from prominent local and international artists, as well as emerging talents all year round. Currently the Shadow sculptures exhibition by Bassam Al Selawi and Maysoon Masalha is on display until mid-September followed by the “Summer of Sports” photographic exhibition in association with Alliance Française Dubai.
Plantation is open 24-hours with the popular All Day Breakfast promotion. The three options are the ‘Fry-up’, ‘Oriental’ and the ‘Wellness’.
From noon until 11.30pm the a la carte menu serves a selection of healthy, nourishing and authentic food prepared in cast iron pots known in France as “Cassolette” or “Cocotte”, offering Mediterranean and European flavours reminiscent of slow cooked meals at home.
The décor in Plantation is in shades of earthy colours from the solid walnut floor to the traditional ceiling fans and large linen pendant lights suspended from the conservatory-style roof. Deep comfortable loungers on the outdoor terrace create an inviting and laid-back atmosphere where shisha can also be enjoyed.
Plantation Restaurant & Terrace is the Global winner for Best Restaurant European Cuisine by the World Luxury Restaurant Awards 2016 and also received the accolade Restaurant of the Year for its distinctive concept at the Hozpitality Excellence Awards MENA 2015.
