Yamal can attract investors from the United Arab Emirates to fulfillment of large projects

The acting governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitriy Kobylkin was on business trip in the United Arab Emirates within the Russian delegation.

Discussion of opportunities of participation of investors from the United Arab Emirates in fulfillment of large infrastructural projects in Yamal became its theme, as the press-service of the governor of Yamal informs.

The Russia side was represented by the minister for transport of the Russian Federation Maksim Sokolov, the director general of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriyev and also the administrations of VIS Construction group and the international investment company RISE Capital.

For Yamal fulfillment of socioeconomic programs today is closely connected with necessity to develop transport infrastructure. Its uniting with transport arteries of the country will open new horizons of development of prospective territories. Solving of these tasks require for big financing resources, therefore, the state attracts Russian and foreign private investors for fulfillment of large infrastructural projects on principles of governmental-private partnership.

Meetings with administrations of large financial structures – the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) and the Fund Mubadala took place within the trip. The biggest interest was aroused with the full-scale project of building of the Northern Latitudinal Route and other projects on development of transport infrastructure.

The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) was founded in 1976. It is a global financial institution, which completely belongs to the government of Abu Dhabi. ADIA controls a considerable investment portfolio, which consists of more than 20 kinds and classes of diversification financial instruments. Mubadala was founded and is controlled by the government of Abu Dhabi. The strategy of the fund is based on conclusion of long-term partnerships and fulfillment of full-scale investments. Mubadala accumulates and controls the many-milliard portfolio of regional and foreign investments, cooperating with leading international organizations.

Participation of representatives of "VIS" in business contacts is not occasional. The group fulfills about 30 projects in Yamal and actively participates in development of mechanisms of governmental-private partnership. Promising projects, in which VIS can be not only a builder but also an investor, are being scrutinized now. RISE Capital is also referred to structures, which see Yamal as a promising region for investments to projects of governmental-private partnership. Now the company finances preliminary researches for building of a railroad line on the territory of Yamal.

As we should remind, Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, a member of the Federal Supreme Council visited Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug in March. The guest was interested in some projects of development of infrastructure on the peninsula. The present trip of Dmitriy Kobylkin became continuation and development of business contacts.
