Fancy footwork by UAE-based fashion brand
The National -- Jada Dubai, a UAE-based fashion brand, has released a pair of diamond- and sapphire-encrusted shoes with platinum and gold soles. The high heels, of which only one pair exists, are adorned with 54 carats of white diamonds and 416.2 carats of white sapphires, and come with a hefty price tag of over a million dirhams.
The shoes took more than a year to make, with gold specialists from three countries working to create the balance between the gold and platinum that needed to be suitable to support the uppers.
The shoes are part of a collection of five limited-edition pieces including the Grace Kelly pair, which is made up of yellow gold, platinum, 16 brilliant-cut white diamonds, 32 black diamonds and other semi-precious gemstones.
