Russian-speaking community in Dubai marked the 81st Anniversary of Victory Day

A celebration marking the 81st anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War was held at Atlantis The Palm. The event brought together more than 500 guests, including members of the diplomatic corps, compatriots, public figures, and representatives of the business community.

Official addresses were delivered by H.E. Timur Zabirov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the UAE and H.E. Maxim Vladimirov, the Consul General of Russia in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. In their remarks, they highlighted the importance of preserving historical memory, strengthening generational continuity, and honoring the legacy of veterans.

The event was also attended by ambassadors, consuls, and representatives of diplomatic missions from CIS countries, the Russian Business Council (RBC), as well as the Association of Russian Compatriots, adding a strong sense of unity and international solidarity to the evening.

The formal dinner took place in a warm yet ceremonial atmosphere. Guests enjoyed a cultural program, with the highlight of the evening being a live performance by the musical group Lyubo-Milo, who performed both well-known songs and wartime classics.

The celebration became one of the largest gatherings of the Russian-speaking community in Dubai, bringing together guests of different generations in remembrance of shared history and cultural heritage.
