‘Promenade With Me’ by Savannah du Quercy

Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach presents an exhibition in collaboration with the International Emerging Artist Award ‘Promenade With Me’ by Savannah du Quercy. An inspiring journey into the universe of the artist, ’Promenade With Me” is a mix media exhibition and a theatrical experience of a unique kind. Vibrant in colour and magically powerful, it is envisioned by French actress and painter Savannah Du Quercy. In it unexpected brush strokes and experimentation blend to reveal a sensitive soul in quest of her artistic identity.

Savannah du Quercy was born in 1995 in Paris and her work is mostly large-scale, abstract, colorful creations on solid wood structures, paper and plastic which incorporate poems and thoughts, recycled materials, and fabrics. Currently residing in Dubai, she has travelled to several countries, lived in Switzerland and the United Kingdom where she graduated from Tring Park School for the Performing Arts where she won multiple awards, which include: Art Cup in (2011), Classical Acting Cup (2012) and Contemporary Acting Cup (2013).

Exquisitely captured through the lens of Dubai based Film Director Jac Mulder, Savannah's creative process is gracefully staged in her intimate studio. Discovering oneself by uncovering the artist in you is certainly an important learning curve in the career development of an emerging artist and Savannah Du Quercy explores all the possibilities through her compositions influenced by the realms of poetry, literature, cinematography and most of all by reputed artists like: Jean-Michel Basquiat, Yves Klein, Twombly and Niki de Saint-Phalles. A definite must on your art list this season.
