“Revealed” by Sofitel Exhibition

The international photography exhibition “REVEALED” by Sofitel to be shown for the first time in the Middle East between 27th October and 26th December 2016. A compelling photo print exhibition that takes an intimate look at the world’s greatest modern artists at work as they reveal themselves to the photographer. Olivier Widmaier Picasso, grandson of Pablo Picasso and author of Picasso, Portrait Intime (Albin Michel/Arte éditions), curated the exhibit, hand-selecting photographs from the collection of Paris Match.

Among the prized photograph prints to be displayed is a black-and-white image of Pablo Picasso eyeing a Dalmatian longing to climb up onto his lap; Salvador Dalí seen sitting in an animal exhibit at the Paris Zoo; Jeff Koons styling a BMW for the 24 Hours of Le Mans; Pierre Soulagescrouching over a work in progress and Joan Miró, a lover of nature - in his studio.

“The exhibition features thirty photographs, thirty unique testimonies from Paris Match’s extraordinary archives. I was given the opportunity to make the selection and to assist in the presentation, affording me another chance to try to understand the creative process, what happens between the hand and the canvas, the spirit and the place, the proof and the final print, the human and the divine” commented Olivier Widmaier Picasso.
