52 million travellers crossed through Dubai ports in 2016

WAM--The number of passengers through the Dubai air, land and sea ports over the past year had reached about 52 million passengers, according to the statistical report issued by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai (GDRFA).

Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director -General of the GDRFA said that the passenger traffic through Dubai International Airports saw a remarkable rise in 2016.

The number of passengers arriving and departing through the Dubai International Airports during the last year touched over 46.8 million passengers, he added.

Meanwhile, the number of passengers through the Hatta border in the past year reached over 3.7 million. The number of passengers through the seaports of the Emirate of Dubai in the past year reached 998, 966 passengers, Al Marri said.
