WAM -- Abu Dhabi Art, a spectacular cultural event that presents an array of quality artwork from modern, contemporary and design galleries, bringing together the world’s most innovative galleries, artists, cultural leaders and collectors from across the globe, reflects the UAE capital's approach to take art as one of key enablers and catalysts to promote the culture of dialogue and values of tolerance and openness to other cultures, said H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, following a tour of the event.

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the eighth edition of Abu Dhabi Art was organised by Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA) from 16th to 19th November at Manarat Al Saadiyat in the Saadiyat Cultural District.

''Abu Dhabi is investing in art and culture as well as in human being, particularly youngsters, for the future,'' Sheikh Hazza added.

HH affirmed that mega cultural projects in Abu Dhabi would not have seen light without the support and encouragement of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed to art and culture.

''What we are planting today in art and culture will be reaped by our children in future,'' Sheikh Hazza said, calling for nurturing young Emirati creative artists.

Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of TCA, and Saif Saeed Ghobash, Director-General of TCA, took Sheikh Hazza on a tour of the galleries and informed him about art installations, inspiring art works displayed by 40 participating galleries and exceptional contributions by leading curators and artists.
