The Address Downtown Dubai hotel is back in business, finally welcoming overnight guests two years after a fire extensively damaged the property.
The hotel, which is part of the Emaar Hospitality Group’s Address Hotels and Resorts brand, has long been one of the emirate’s most popular options for travellers, but it hasn’t been fully operational since New Year’s Eve 2016 when an electrical short circuit set the 63-storey tower ablaze, leaving 15 people injured.
It was announced yesterday that the 220-room property that offers unrivalled views of the Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Fountain is once again taking bookings.
On the reopening Olivier Harnisch, Chief Executive Officer of Emaar Hospitality Group, said: “Address Downtown holds a very special place in the hearts of all discerning travellers and guests. Defined by its central location overlooking Burj Khalifa, the hotel has consistently secured the world’s leading tourism and hospitality awards.”
He went on to say that “Emaar is bringing to life a crowning glory in its hotel assets. Working with world-leading designers and consultants, the all-new Address Downtown ushers in an exceptional lifestyle choice and set new standards in luxury hospitality. The hotel will continue to uphold its distinctive positioning of ‘where life happens’.”
The Address Downtown has several new features including a fresh interior and The Galliard, which will serve French, Spanish and Turkish food. Another new offering will be a branch of famous steakhouse STK (there is already an STK in JBR's Rixos).
Reopening is a revamped Neos, the lounge bar on its 63rd floor (which has fantastic Dubai Fountain views).
Rooms start from about Dh1,000 per night.
