AED1 Million in Gift Cards await customers across Meraas destinations during 25th Dubai Shopping Festival

To celebrate the 25^th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival, organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), Meraas destinations are offering a truly unique experience. Dazzling fireworks, cheerfully quirky Trolls shows, mesmerizing storytelling projections, laser displays of the UAE’s rich heritage and the chance to win big await you between 26 December 2019 and 1 February 2020.

AED1 Million in Meraas Gift Cards

As the city gears up for this milestone edition of the festival, spend AED100 at any of the retail, dining or entertainment outlets at City Walk, La Mer, The Beach, Al Seef, Boxpark, Bluewaters or The Outlet Village, and enter a raffle draw for one of the 25 Meraas Gift Cards worth AED1,000 that is up for grabs daily on the main raffle stage at Al Seef and air live on Dubai TV’s DSF programme. On the last two days of DSF, the number of winners will be doubled with 50 Meraas Gift Cards set to be won, amounting to a total prize valued at AED1 million.

Fireworks

Watch the skies over La Mer, The Beach, Bluewaters and Al Seef light up with spectacular fireworks every weekend between 26 December and 1 February, and double your chances of winning an AED1,000 Meraas Gift Card on these nights.

Join Trolls from DreamWorks’ popular franchise on their Meraas Tour as they visit City Walk, La Mer, The Beach, Al Seef and The Outlet Village between 26 December and 1 February in their first-ever appearance in the Middle East. Children can enjoy catching up with Poppy and her friends on their mission to bring joy through fun meet-and-greet sessions, live music shows and lively parades.

Kids can also participate in treasure hunts, listen to a hakawati – a traditional storyteller – spinning tales of old Arabia at Al Seef and meet everybody’s favourite Nickelodeon character SpongeBob SquarePants at La Mer and City Walk who puts on fun-filled stage shows with his friends. And if carnivals are their thing, visit Boxpark, where carousels, mask painting, jar-making and other activities is sure to keep the little ones entertained while you browse through some of the festival bargains.

Embark on a breath-taking and immersive journey into the UAE’s past with Al Seef, the strategic partner of Dubai Festivals & Retail Establishment (DFRE) for this year’s DSF. Step into the Al Seef Market, where in addition to the daily draw, you can explore traditional entertainment choices, such as theatre performances and an Oud player, along with workshops that promise to delight the young and old throughout the month of DSF.

City Walk is transforming itself into a DSF hub for innovation and creativity this year with its ‘Futuristic Market’. Brought to visitors by DFRE, DSF 2019 celebrates the 25^th anniversary of the city’s longest running festival to date. The City Walk Futuristic Market hosts bold and imaginative light projections and LED light shows, such as the glow band and The Great Bears. One of the exciting activations invites you to learn about the future of the UAE through virtual reality zones all over the destination, where you can step into the VR sandbox and construct a Dubai 100 years into the future or enjoy classic games such as Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja.

Pass by the Digital Art Wall, which creates masterpieces at the touch of your hand and allows visitors to ‘Paint the future of the nation’.

City Walk’s new psychedelic light tunnel, glitter stations and GIF pods offer the perfect Instagram locations, allowing you to get creative and make fun gifs with your friends to instantly share on your social media.
