Al Rostamani Group launches Citroen on the UAE market

Al Rostamani Trading Company, a member of the Al Rostamani Group, launched the Citroen motor brand onto the UAE market, following the company’s recent appointment as sole distributor for the prestigious French motor company in the UAE.

The new Citroen Showroom and Service Centre, located on Sheikh Zayed Road, was officially opened in a ceremony attended by Mr. Marwan Al Rostamani, Chairman of Al Rostamani Group along with Mr. Philippe Geze, Citroen MENA Director, and Mr. Michel Miraillet, Ambassador of France in the UAE, in addition to a number of dignitaries and invited guests.

Commenting at the Citroen launch, Mr. Marwan Al Rostamani said: “We are proud of this strategic alliance with Citroen, in which Al Rostamani Trading Company is selected as the sole distributor of the brand in the UAE. We are delighted to be launching this prestigious French motor brand which has a 100 year history of producing exciting, high quality and technologically advanced vehicles.”   

Mr. Philippe Geze, Citroen MENA Director, said that “Citroen was delighted to Partner with the Al Rostamani Group for the launch of their vehicles on the UAE market. He believes that the advanced technology and refinement of the Citroen model range will have great appeal to drivers in the UAE. Citroen looked forward to growing vehicle sales in the UAE. Mr. Geze wished the Chairman, his management and staff, every success in the future and assured them of Citroens’ commitment in supporting their efforts.”

Mr. Michel Miraillet, Ambassador General of France in the UAE, declared that this was “an exciting development for the French brand and, of course, is welcomed as a part of strengthening commercial and fraternal ties between the UAE and France. He thanked the Chairman of the Al Rostamani Group for his support, commitment and enthusiasm in launching one of the great brands of France in the UAE market’’ and gave his heartiest congratulations on the occasion of the opening of the new showroom and service centre.

Guests had the opportunity to explore Citroens new car and commercial range, backed by a melody of live music, performed by a violinist.
