On June 24, 2019 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates hosted the signing ceremony of the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on the mutual exemption of visas for holders of diplomatic, official and special passports.

In accordance with the Protocol the citizens of the Republic of Belarus, holders of the valid national passports, will be able to visit the UAE visa-free. The Protocol will enter into force 30 days after the completion by the parties of all internal legal procedures.

On behalf of the Belarusian side the Protocol was signed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the United Arab Emirates, Andrei Luchenok, from the Emirati Side it was signed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al Jarman.
