Burj Khalifa named world's best tourist attraction for 2015

World's tallest tower beats Universal Studios and Britain's London Eye

Dubai's iconic Burj Khalifa has been voted as the 'best tourist attraction' in the world for 2015 in an international poll.

The tower's observation deck 'At the Top' surpassed Disney World's Magic Kingdom and the United Kingdom's London Eye in a list created by online ticket sales site Attractiontix. The site polled thousands of voters to choose their favorite leisure attraction from 15 categories over a two-week period.

Burj Khalifa's restaurants, including fine dining venue At.mosphere and panoramic cityscape views from the 148th floor were cited as major drawcards.

'At the top' was also dubbed one of the world’s most romantic attractions and also came second to the Empire State Building in the 'best observation deck' category.

Other destinations on the list included France’s Eiffel Tower, and the United States’ Empire State Building.

Standing at 829.8 metres and with more than 200 storeys, Burj Khalifa holds the Guinness World Record for the tallest building in the world.
