The National -- Two people died and another was injured when the car they were travelling in ploughed into a crane on Wednesday.
The 28-year-old Asian driver and 22-year-old Asian woman passenger died while a 32-year-old man escaped with minor injuries. Police did not release their nationalities.
The accident happened in Ras Al Khaimah at 7.30am, RAK Police said.

Gulf News -- A radar in Sharjah caught a motorcyclist speeding at 278km/h, police said on Wednesday.
Major Mohammad Al Shehi, head of detectives and traffic control at Sharjah Police, said the speeding violation caught by the radar was the highest speed detected in the recent times.
