UAE fuel prices decreased in January 2023

From January 1, 2023 petrol prices for Super 98 will be Dhs2.78 per litre, down from Dhs3.30 per litre in December. Additionally, Special 95 will be priced at Dhs2.67 per litre, down from from Dhs3.18.Diesel will also see a decrease in price to Dhs3.29 per litre, a decrease from Dhs3.74 last month.

Dubai removes 30 per cent tax on all alcohol sales and alcohol licenses are now free

Effective from Sunday, January 1 2023, the 30 per cent tax will be removed from all alcohol purchases in Dubai.
As first reported by Caterer Middle East, Dubai Municipality announced a one-year trial period that will see tax suspended on all alcoholic beverages for 2023.
Although not yet confirmed, this should make drinking in restaurants and bars cheaper. According to the same article, Dubai Municipality expects that the saving will be passed on to consumers.

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD) to create a pre-release turtle rehabilitation area at Louvre Abu Dhabi, in the waters surrounding the museum.
