Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has approved a series of Expo 2020-related projects to be undertaken by the Roads and Transport Authority, official news agency WAM reported on Wednesday.

During a visit to the RTA offices, he approved the ‘wing-shaped’ design of the metro stations for the upcoming Route 2020 project, the report said.

UAE 90-day tourist visa now online

Tourists to the UAE can now apply for a 90-day visa online, the Ministry of Interior has announced.

The e-service, available on both the ministry’s website and smartphone app, is expected to reduce application time, as well as the number of people at its visa centres by 80 percent within three years.

The 90-day visa is only available to visitors who are sponsored by either a citizen, resident or investor.
