Sun shines bright on UAE tourism

The UAE tourism industry will continue to expand in 2015, with 7.6 per cent year-on-year growth in tourist arrivals and 9.3 per cent increase in tourism receipts, according to a report by Business Monitor International (BMI).  "The outlook for UAE's tourism sector looks bright. We expect strong growth in tourist arrivals, tourism receipts and hotel industry value,” the report said.

The projects include a 12 million sq ft mixed used development in Deira Islands that will feature a massive mall with a glass dome.

Kazakhstan’s ‘New Silk Way’

Global marine terminal operator DP World and Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ), Kazakhstan’s national railway company, have signed an agreement that will see DP World provide management advisory services for the development of the Khorgos Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and Inland Container Depot (ICD).

DP World will also provide similar services under a separate contract at the Port of Aktau, Kazakhstan’s main cargo and bulk terminal on the Caspian Sea.
