Costa Coffee launches Hug a Mug initiative

As part of COSTA’s Global Community Week, COSTA Coffee UAE is aiming to inspire people across the Emirates to raise AED100,000 for the Al Noor Training Centre, a specified school for the differently abled.

From 13th – 21st October, COSTA will launch its warm and wholesome Hug a Mug initiative to encourage people to give a ‘hug’ and share some love! Everyone can get involved in this exciting initiative through fun in-store activities with our cuddly mug mascots, online through the microsite and via social media.

Hug a Mug will be rolled out in over 100 COSTA locations within the UAE from Friday, 13th October. Cuppie, the COSTA mascot, will be on hand at COSTA stores to give hugs to all who want to donate to the worthwhile cause. COSTA will also have limited edition Al Noor cupcakes and a white chocolate latte on offer, with all proceeds going to the Al Noor Training Centre.

Additionally, COSTA Coffee UAE is encouraging people to join in on the rewarding activation by using the hashtag #HugAMug when sharing memorable photos across social media platforms. Every time the hashtag is used, AED1 will be donated to Al Noor Training Centre. Customers can also log on to the dedicated website, hugamug.ae, to share the love and donate directly. Donations can be made by giving your phone number and a cute cuddle to COSTA’s irresistible online Cuppie.
