A date with art: Ahmedia Art Gallery hosts Priti Quinn’s ‘Kaleidoscope’ exhibition, 6th to 13th March

Ahmedia Art Gallery, located at the Ahmedia Guest House in Deira, will hold a an exhibition with a theme “Kaleidoscope”  by  Priti Vasisht-Quinn from 6^th to 13^th March 2017, from 11:00am until 9:00pm.

Priti Vasisht – Quinn, an artist who started drawing at age 3 and has continued her passion since then. Both her parents are artists and they encouraged Priti to find her own style and creativity. Priti did not obtain a professional art training but has experimented with various media over the years and finds a mixture of oil ,pastels , acrylic and gouche work best for her.

According to Priti, anything can trigger a spurt of energy to put paint on canvas such as a passing roadside vignette, a face in the crowd a childhood memory, an old photograph.  “But it has to have color and feeling. I cannot paint scenery or still life, just people, preferably women”, she added. As a photojournalist, Priti has contributed many of her sketched articles or stories to local and international publications.
