Dubai Classic’s latest addition promises to be the highlight of the live events season with the regional debut of highly acclaimed violinist and decorated Russian Paganini, Vadim Repin, who will take to the stage at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) on March 25th, 2016.

Vadim Repin is a phenomenon in the classical music world, and is considered to be one the best violin players around the world. In 2010, he was awarded the Victoire d’Honneur, France’s most prestigious musical award for a lifetime dedication to music, and also became Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres. Famous for winning a gold medal in the Wienawski Competition at the young age of 11, Repin will be accompanied by world renowned Italian Maestro Fabio Mastrangelo, commonly referred to as Russia’s most famous Italian-born conductor, who will be leading the St. Petersburg "Northern Sinfonietta" Chamber Orchestra. Vadim Repin will play on the 1733 'Rode' violin by Stradivari.

The second half of the evening will feature dazzling performances by soloists of the Bolshoi theatre, Anna Aglatova (soprano) and Alexei Neklyudov (tenor). Their spellbinding performances will include some of the finest works by classical legends such as Verdi, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Strauss, Rossini, Puccini, Rachmaninoff, Borodin and Rimsky-Korsakov.

Ahmed Alkhaja, Senior Vice President – Venues, DWTC commented:

“Dubai Classics encores with an opportunity to absorb culture and inspiration from Russia and Europe. The lineup of performers will astound lovers of the genre with their sublime renditions of traditional classics. The event is unmissable for those seeking a unique and entertaining night out filled with breathtaking performances and solos from some exceptional artists.”
