Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the DEC, as a gift from Dubai to the world, reflecting the government’s role in embracing tolerance.

Sheikha Lubna stated that the Dubai Font represents certain original values that the UAE is proud of, notably tolerance, happiness, giving, courage and modernity, adding that it also encourages creativity, innovation, pride in cultural heritage, co-existence and constructive co-operation with other peoples, which comply with the pillars and goals of the National Tolerance Programme that the UAE had previously declared.

She made her statement during her visit to Dubai Design District, D3, to view its exhibited artworks, under the framework of the recent launch of the Dubai Font, in the presence of Abdulla Al Shaibani, Secretary-General of the DEC.

Al Qasimi said, "We are delighted to support the "Dubai Font" initiative, which aims to revive an original value in the UAE community that is tolerance, which our beloved country is trying to convey to the entire world, with an emphasis on the mutual human traits that unite us."

She stated that the Dubai Font initiative is a universal programme that goes beyond local and regional boundaries to include the entire world, while highlighting the UAE’s leading role in the region to promote the values of tolerance and understanding. "The UAE has adopted, since its establishment by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, a unique methodology of tolerance and co-existence. This methodology has continued in the era of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, confirmed by the UAE government, under the leadership of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, by creating the Ministry of Tolerance with the aim of sustaining the values of tolerance, compassion and co-existence between all segments of UAE society," she added.
