Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Dubai Music Week (DMW) 2015 has announced that this year’s Celeb Access will offer music and entertainment fans the opportunity to learn from a multitude of local and international celebrities and industry professionals through interactive workshops, panel discussions, film screening and talks under Celeb Talks, BizTalks, and Master Classes.

DMW 2015 will showcase on its Main Stage Arena Jason Derulo for the opening night on Wednesday, September 23rd; Ellie Goulding on Thursday, September 24th; and Thirty Seconds to Mars on Friday, September 25th. International hip hop artist Two Tone is confirmed to open for Jason Derulo, whilst UAE-based band Juliana Down will set the stage for Thirty Seconds to Mars. Doors to the Main Stage Arena open at 7:00pm.

The du Live! and HTC Festival Stage in the Entertainment Village will feature emerging talent from the region. The Entertainment Village, which also houses fun and quirky food trucks showcasing the latest culinary trends, can be accessed for free starting 1:00pm.

Celeb Talks

Celeb Talk is a segment that is sure to be an audience favourite, as participants will have the opportunity to engage with musical maestros, who have dedicated their lives to the pursuit of their craft.

Wednesday, September 23rd

  • DMW 2015 officially opens with a live audience Q&A session with Jason Derulo hosted by Kris Fade. This session is exclusively available for Jason Derulo concert ticket holders. The first 1,000 ticket holders who arrive at 2:00pm can access this Celeb Talk for free. It runs for one hour from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. Questions can be sent in advance via Twitter #DMW2015 #AskJasonDerulo. Fans with top five best questions will be invited with a priority and front-row access.

Friday, September 25th

  • From 2:00pm to 4:00pm, Thirty Seconds to Mars presents its award-winning documentary film, Artifact followed by a Q&A session with the band’s lead singer Jared Leto. Entrance tickets will be on-sale soon at www.ticketmaster.ae.

BizTalks  

BizTalk is a panel discussion between industry professionals that aims to give its audiences a deeper insight into the local, regional and international music scene. With two sessions each day, music fans not only get the chance to listen to thought-leaders but also exchange ideas with them on the topics they cover.

Wednesday, September 23rd

  • From 1:30pm to 2:30pm, Dubai On Demand hosts a live audience discussion on How Social Media Took Over From Television. Panellists will include Presenters Dina Butti, Aishwarya Ajit, Layne Redman, Producer Faraz Javed, and Head of Production and Executive Producer Reim El Houni.
  • From 4:30pm to 5:30pm, Ahlan! hosts Music & Media: How to Get Famous. Ahlan!, Deputy Editor, JJ Anisiobi, is joined by world-famous rapper Two Tone and Hollaphonic MC Olly Wood to discuss how acts can promote themselves into stardom.

Thursday, September 24th

  • From 1:30pm to 2:30pm, Flash Entertainment and Live Nation Middle East join forces to talk about Dubai Music Week, creating a music scene within the Middle East and what’s to come.
  • From 4:30pm to 5:30pm, ARN hosts a discussion on How to Get into the Radio Business. Some of the most-loved RJs from ARN including Siddharth Vohra from City 101.6, Aylissa Boyce from Dubai 92, Nyla Ushna from Hit 96.7 and Roxana Chegini from Radio Shorma 93.4 join the panel to be moderated by Richard Dean, breakfast show presenter from Dubai Eye 103.8.

Friday, September 25th

  • From 1:00pm to 2:00pm, du Live! hosts a discussion on Video Content on Demand (VOD), Trends in Broadcasting Music Content via VOD.
  • From 4:00pm to 5:00pm, Sound Struck Studios and Universal MENA discuss How Artists, Production Houses and Labels Work Together to Create Better Entertainment Platforms for Local Art. Owner, Sound Engineer and Producer Elvis Garagic of Sound Struck, Vice-President of Universal MENA Claudiaus Boller, and local artist Neil D’Cruz from rock band Nikotin will be on the panel.  

BizTalks are free and can accommodate a maximum of 50 guests on a first come, first served basis. Interested participants need to register via www.dubaimusicweek.ae.  Invitations will be issued to participants to confirm their slot.  

Master Classes 

Celebrity vocal coach CeCe Sammy, and BLAZE B-boy Jessy Kemper and Team Captain Kendra Horsburgh lead the Master Classes that aim to help aspiring artists further hone their skills through interactive workshops. CeCe Sammy is best known for her TV appearances and behind-the-scenes contributions as a vocal coach on shows such as Pop Idol, The X Factor, The Voice UK, and America's Got Talent. Jessy Kemper, from international dance theatre show, BLAZE, aims to bring out the b-boys and b-girls in his students in his high-energy breaking classes. And Kendra Horsburgh, BLAZE Team Captain and a trailblazing female artist and choreographer, gives workshops on contemporary dance.

Interested participants need to register via www.dubaimusicweek.ae. Payment of 150 AED can be made at the venue. With a capacity of 50 per class, students can expect fresh content everyday from each of the experts. 

 DMW 2015, launched in partnership with Live Nation Middle East and Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), supported by Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).  under the sponsorship of du Live! in association with HTC, the Official Smartphone Partner, is the premier international music festival in the Middle East and is an official event under this year’s ‘Eid in Dubai – Eid Al Adha’ celebrations. It features concerts with an award-winning line-up of A-list performers, Celeb Access, and an Interactive Entertainment Village. The event at DWTC is expected to attract local and international music fans beginning on Wednesday, September 23rd.
