Dubai Opera celebrate’s 100th performance by offering 100 premium tickets to La bohème on 11th March for just 100 fils!

To celebrate Dubai Opera’s 100^th performance it is offering a special limited price for 100 premium tickets to La bohème on 11^th March, at just 100 Fils per ticket.

The iconic venue located in Downtown Dubai has welcomed more than 100,000 visitors to Dubai Opera since August 2016 with shows from an extraordinary range of genres, which have helped create lasting memories. It is by way of thank you to its supporters while continuing to present an incredible array of world-class artists and productions on its main stage.

One of opera’s greatest love stories and Annabel Arden’s sensitive and insightful production, first performed by Welsh National Opera in 2012, was welcomed warmly by both audiences and critics. The atmospheric set combined with Puccini’s sublime and evocative score takes us on a heart-stopping journey of love and loss. Be transported to bohemian Paris where Rudolfo, a penniless poet, and Mimi, a seamstress, are head over heels in love. But in a world of turmoil and poverty, their hopes and dreams are crushed, and their passionate romance comes to a tragic end.

The Building

The iconic dhow-shaped building of Dubai Opera is a masterpiece of contemporary design, and a stylish tribute to Dubai’s maritime history. The building’s exquisite design, by architect Janus Rostock, gives the exceptional ability to transform into three modes; from a theatre into a concert hall, and into a ‘flat floor’ mode becoming a banquet or event hall. This seamless flexibility enables Dubai Opera to host a wide variety of performances and events including theatre,opera, ballet, orchestras, concerts, fashion shows, live entertainment, conferences, galleries and art exhibitions.

In Theatre mode, the space is suitable for large-scale drama productions, musicals, ballets, lectures, and conferences, seating up to 2,000 people, depending on configuration. When transformed into a concert hall, a series of towers and reflectors on stage and overhead are designed to create an acoustic shell around the orchestra, enabling an impeccable acoustic environment for a perfect sound quality. The building’s unique architecture allows to also host a variety of events such as weddings, trade shows, art galleries and exhibitions, receptions and parties, using its “flat floor” mode.

Dubai Opera also boasts a number of spaces and venues, including a stunning rooftop restaurant and sky garden with views of The Dubai Fountain and the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa.
