The National -- One of Dubai Police's most impressive stuntmen has balanced a quad bike on its hind wheels for a whopping 60 kilometres, to claim yet another world record for the UAE.
Captain Abdulla Al Hattawi, a member of the Dubai Police Force, Dubai Police Stunt Team and one of the top ATV stunt athletes in the world, performed a non-stop wheelie down Sheikh Zayed Road, from Ghantoot to Dubai World Trade Centre, on Friday morning.
The stunt was to coincide with the opening of the Dubai Motorbike Festival, which is being held at the World Trade Centre on January 12 and 13.
Mr Al Hattawi, popularly known as Abdulla Hollandi on social media, had a convoy of Dubai Police patrol cars and supercars escorting him on the world record attempt, followed by a cohort of 300 bikers from motorcycle clubs around the region.
It's not the first such feat for Mr Al Hattawi, who has chalked up several impressive stunts in his time. He regularly competes in motorcycle stunt tournaments across the world, and isn't a stranger to the podium. He's also amassed a whopping 187,000 followers on Instagram, where he regularly posts pictures of his travels, and daring feats.
But as well as being an accomplished stuntman, he is also a senior official in the Dubai Police, and is responsible for training the Dubai Police Special Forces.
“I’m so proud to now be the Guinness World Record holder for the World’s Longest Wheelie on an ATV and to achieve another Guinness World Record for Dubai Police," Mr Al Hattawi said.
"It was an amazing experience and thank you to everyone who has supported us!”
