Dubai Shopping Festival to offer unique family treat with “Disney’s Sparkling Frozen Forest”

Ice rink at CITY WALK to host first of its kind activation in Dubai based on the animated film from 21-30 Jan

The 21^st edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival presents an innovative activation –“Disney’s Sparkling Frozen Forest”, based on the critically acclaimed movie, offering a special treat for families and children visiting CITY WALK a dynamic outdoor destination by Meraas  from 21 – 30 January.

A strikingly unique combination of beautifully aesthetic and interactive elements from the world of Disney’s Frozen will deliver a compelling immersive experience for the audience at the ice rink of CITY WALK. The activation, which is being brought to Dubai for the first time,  will offer an entirely magical experience in a winter wonderland, with special activations that will include - Ice Castle Karaoke & Ice Castle Balcony; The Snow Playground featuring magical snow-fall; Immersive Forest Trail; Snow glazed Pine Trees; White and Blue Festooned Fairy lights; Iconic Entrance Archway; Character Standees; Giant Ice Blocks; Branded Floor Decals and Arendelle Royal Crests and Flags.   Cap off your trip to the Winter Wonderland amid serendipitous snowflakes and icicles at CITY WALK, located in the central district of Al Satwa, hosting more than 50 premium brands, with a mix of global brands and original concepts born out of the region.

In a statement, the Media Centre of DFRE, said: “Disney’s Sparkling Frozen Forest” is a truly unique family experience that we are bringing to Dubai for this edition of Dubai Shopping Festival.  The concept was developed to provide an entertaining environment based around Disney’s globally acclaimed film, “Frozen”, and reflects our commitment to collaborate with international entertainment companies like The Walt Disney Company to offer so much more than shopping this DSF in line with the tagline ‘Unwrap The Exceptional’.

DSF 2016 runs until 1 February with over 150 events and activities providing residents and visitors from around the world the opportunity to enjoy exceptional experiences at the world’s most rewarding festival.
