Emirati shopper gets a wedding gift from Nissan Grand Raffle

The Dubai Shopping Festival, which has created life-changing moments for thousands of residents and visitors from different nationalities and cultural background since its inception, has continued in the same vein during DSF 2016, mesmerising many more through its renowned Mega Raffles.

Every day, winners of the Infiniti Mega Raffle and Nissan Grand Raffle are announced at Global Village, making a huge impact on the lives of the winners with cars and cash prizes

An ecstatic Hamad Salem Ajlan, from the UAE, who became one of the lucky shoppers at the Nissan Grand Raffle, considers the prize – a Nissan Sentra -as a gift for his wedding next week.

“I am actually going to take this car as a wedding gift for myself seeing as I am getting married next week! Actually, when I got my two coupons I just put them in the raffle box but I never thought that I would win the grand prize, especially as the box was filled to the brim. When I found out that I was a winner I was so happy that I wasn’t even sure how to express it.I will be giving this car to my wife as a gift”, said Hamad, who is currently employed at a government entity in Dubai.

Sasidharan, works as an accountant at a textile store in Bur Dubai and has been living in the city since 2008. “I have been taking part in the raffle draws for the last 4 or 5 years and it is great to finally win, and it has become something of a dream to me. I bought my ticket on Al Fahidi Street by the Dubai Museum. I won the Infiniti QX70 but I am planning on selling the car and using the money to bring my family to live with me in Dubai.”

The annual Infiniti Mega Raffle will see one lucky shopper getting the chance to drive home with an Infiniti QX70 and AED 200,000 in cash every day. Raffle tickets can be purchased for AED200 from selected EPPCO & ENOC petrol stations, including: Al Ghurair Centre; Global Village; Al Fahidi Street; Al Rigga Street; Al Seef Street; Baniyas Road and the Gold Souk. The daily raffle draw takes place at Global Village every day at 10pm.

The Nissan Grand Raffle is giving away one of eight cars from Nissan – Micra; Sunny; Sentra; Tiida Hatchback; X-Trail; Juke;Pathfinder orPatrol - as the daily prize. To win a car at the Nissan Grand Raffle, just spend AED 20 at ZOOM or Pronto, AED 35 at Prowash in ENOC/EPPCO stations, or AED 100 for any AutoPro or oil change services.

DSF 2016 is organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), and runs until 1 February under the tagline ‘Unwrap The Exceptional’.
