Parking will be free in Dubai on Thursday, September 13, in all public car parks, except multi-level parking terminals, to mark Al Hijri New Year.
Fares will resume on Saturday, September 15, the Roads and Transport Authority said.
Public transport timings will also be adjusted for the Islamic new year, returning to usual scheduling on Friday, September 14.
Dubai Metro:
Stations on the Red Line will be operating from 5am on Thursday until 1am the next day.
The Green Line will be operating from half an hour later, running from 5.30am until 1am.
Dubai Tram:
On Thursday, trams will operate from 6am until 1am the following day.
Dubai Bus:
Main stations, such as Gold Souq Station, will open from 4.25am until 12.29am, and Al Ghubaiba Station will be open from 4.14am until 12.33am.
Subsidiary stations, such as Satwa, will operate from 5am to 11.00pm, except on Route C01, which will be operating around the clock.
Al Qusais Bus Station will open from 5am until 11.45pm. Al Quoz Industrial Station will operate from 5am until 11.35pm and Jebel Ali Station will be offering services from 5am until 11.30pm.
Boats:
The Water Bus will shuttle to and from marina stations from noon until midnight. The Dubai Ferry will be calling at Ghubaiba and Dubai Marina Stations at 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm and 6.30pm. It will be running from Al Jaddaf Station to Dubai Water Canal Station at 12pm and 5.30pm and from Dubai Water Canal Station to Al Jaddaf at 2.05pm and 7.30pm.
Round trips will be running from Sheikh Zayed Road Station from 4pm to midnight.
The Water Taxi will operate a normal service on Thursday from 9am to 10pm.
