Governor of DIFC receives delegation from Chechen Republic

WAM -- Essa Kazim, Governor of Dubai International Financial Centre, DIFC, received a senior delegation yesterday from the Chechen Republic led by Gorkov Sergey Nikolaevich, Chairman of Vnesheconombank, the Russian state-owned development bank.

The objective of the Chechen delegation’s visit to Dubai was to explore ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two nations, particularly in the areas of investment, cultural and tourist exchange.

Speaking on the occasion, Essa Kazim said, "We are honoured to welcome a senior delegation from the Chechen Republic to DIFC during their visit to the UAE, highlighting our facilities and ecosystem here which help make DIFC the leading financial hub for the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. The visit showcased DIFC in terms of its organisational structure and the opportunities it offers for business expansion and investment from a robust base."

Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of Emaar Properties, was also in attendance.
