GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® at WAFI!

An amazing time is coming to WAFI and visitors will be able to practice, break real records in real time and get the chance to be ‘OFFICIALLY AMAZING’^® . From 13 September – 23 November, GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS^® will be at WAFI and people of all ages can enjoy all the action. 

GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS^® have been creating record-breaking moments since 1955 and visitors will have the chance to view 11 galleries across the site with each gallery featuring unique stories. Be it the bizarre realities from the Human Body or the uncanny tales from the Animal Kingdom, people will be stunned with what they discover as they stroll through these galleries.

Every Friday and Saturday, WAFI will host fun activities in the interactive challenge area from 3pm – 9pm. The live challenge will feature different records to be attempted every week and will be open for practice during the weekdays; customers can rank-up the leader board and have the chance to be crowned as a new record holder by a GWR^® Adjudicator. Wafi Restaurants will be present with fun foodie goodies to make the weekends extra-delicious.

 “After a few successful events and activations that focus on edutainment, GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS^® was the obvious choice for the next big event. We have shifted our focus to creating more lifestyle experiences for the entire family that brings them to one destination to spend their leisure time with one another,” said Katherine Revett, Head of Central Marketing at WAFI.

“WAFI will attempt to break official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS titles during this time and is calling out to the public to be a part of this momentum. “We will attempt to break two records during this period. One of these record-breaking activities will be the largest ‘colour by numbers’ mural which will be remarkable for WAFI and Dubai as it will mark the Year of Tolerance. We welcome all residents and tourists to join us in attempting to break this record by just picking up one pencil. While the other record breaking moment will be in collaboration with the all-time favourite Halloween Bash”, she added.
