The National -- It never rains, but it pours for some football managers.
For Jose Mourinho, the sun has generally shone on his glittering managerial career, but the Manchester United boss was left under the weather as the club arrived in Dubai for some warm weather training and rehabilitation.
Mourinho last night posted a video on his Instagram account of heavy rain falling at the Dubai hotel where the team is staying.
"DUBAI....warm weather training camp," he joked, having come to the Emirates not expecting conditions seen regularly back in Manchester.
Rain fell across the country on Monday night, and there was chance of more falling in coastal and northern areas, the national weather centre reported.
Mourinho said last week that his team was looking forward to the trip, although at the time it was dependent on results in other fixtures which could have meant United having to stay at home.
"Everybody wants to go to Dubai," he said. "A week of good training, good facilities but now it depends on Stoke’s result."
He later told MUTV: "If we can have time to have a good, nice week to recover some injured players and tired players and, at the same time, work on some tactical details I think it would be good for the second part of the season."
