Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founding Chairman, Al Habtoor Group held talks with a Kazakh delegation at the Al Habtoor Group head office. The delegation was led by His Excellency Kairat Lama Sharif, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the United Arab Emirates and His Excellency Arman Issagaliyev, Consul General of Kazakhstan in Dubai. Also present was Asset Nurpeissov, Director Department, Baiterek National Management Holding; Murat Daribayev, Chairman, Social Entrepreneurial Corporation, Almaty; Baurzhan Kankin, Deputy Chairman, Social Entrepreneurial Corporation, Astana; and Ibrahim Aushev, Chief of Protocol, Kazakhstan Embassy.
The delegation came to discuss investment opportunities with the Al Habtoor Group.
Chairman Al Habtoor said, “Kazakhstan has one of the largest economies in Central Asia. There are a lot of benefits for foreign investors there. We will examine the proposals put forward to us.”
The Al Habtoor Group’s current investments are in Dubai, Lebanon, Austria, Hungary, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Al Habtoor added, “We are putting a lot of focus on our Dubai investments right now. The Al Habtoor City urban development is fast becoming a major landmark in the city. The Hotel Collection is fully operational, and in 2017 The Residence Collection and Leisure Collection will be finalized, including the opening of La Perle by Dragone. In DubaiLand, the Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club is open and the new Metropolitan Hotel Dubai is about to welcome its first guests.”
