Illustrious Swiss watchmaker, Longines, marked yet another successful presentation of the HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Endurance Cup, which took place on the 7th of January at the Dubai International Endurance City.
Furthering its commitment to the equestrian arena, Swiss watchmaker Longines was once again the Presenting Partner and Official Timekeeper of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Endurance Cup, which featured some of the top names from the world of endurance riding competing over a distance of 160 km. The event began at dawn on Saturday and consisted of five stages of decreasing length at the purpose-built Dubai International Endurance City course. The eventual winner, Humaid Matar Rashed Al Mazrooei , was granted an elegant Longines timepiece among other accolades.
As part of the vibrant occasion, Longines also offered attendees the opportunity to discover the Official Watch of the event; a lady model of the Longines Equestrian Collection, inspired by the rectangular buckle on the show bridle of the only Swiss horse breed, the Franches-Montagnes.

Available in four sizes, the steel models of this collection house a quartz movement. The polished black-lacquered, white mother-of-pearl and silver-coloured checkerboard pattern dials are all decorated with diamond indexes, while the silver-coloured “flinqué” dial is decorated with blue Roman numerals and the matte white dial is adorned with black Arabic numerals. The elegance of these timepieces is sometimes elevated by a ribbon of diamonds that enhances the harmonious curves of the case. These models are fitted with steel bracelets or leather straps; the latter stitched to match the outfits of female riders.
Along with the HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Endurance Cup presented by Longines, the Swiss watch brand’s involvement in the discipline of endurance also includes the Longines FEI World Endurance Championships and the Endurance Rides at the iconic Euston Park in England.
