From Jewelry to Time: Marli’s first chapter in horology

Marli New York is a fine jewelry house defined by bold architectural design and a spirit of liberated self-expression. Aviamost Magazine met Maral Artinian at Watches and Wonders and discovered a collection inspired by the vitality of her New York City home and shaped by a lifetime of jewelry expertise. Through this vision, Artinian has developed a striking design language charged with contrast, precision, and emotion.

Now, Marli New York enters a new chapter with the launch of MARLI Timepieces, marking its official expansion into Swiss watchmaking.

Inspired by New York’s energy and Switzerland’s craftsmanship, the collection is guided by the philosophy of Motion and Measure. It reflects the duality between constant movement and disciplined precision.

“Motion is New York. Measure is Switzerland,” says Artinian. “Together, they define how we experience time not as something to control, but something to live.”

Each timepiece carries MARLI’s signature design language, including the iconic pyramid motif and mother-of-pearl dials, reinterpreted for horology. Crafted in Switzerland and designed in New York, the watches balance emotional expression with technical rigor.

For Artinian, the launch represents a natural evolution of MARLI’s decade-long journey. “True creativity requires discipline,” she notes. “At MARLI, we bring both into every detail.”

The collection spans three case sizes – L23, L30, and L35 – in gold, steel, and titanium, with interchangeable straps and diamond-set variations.

MARLI also introduces MARLI Digital Certification, a blockchain-based system ensuring secure authentication, traceable ownership, and long-term preservation of each timepiece. The MARLI Timepiece collection will be available from May 2026.
