Abu Dhabi — His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, yesterday received Robert Fico, Slovakia’s Prime Minister.
During the meeting held at Al Bahr Palace, Shaikh Mohammad and Fico spoke about relations between the UAE and Slovakia, particularly in the economic and investment sectors. They discussed ways to bolster these relations to further for the mutual benefit of both nations.
Shaikh Mohammad and Fico stressed the importance of expanding avenues of cooperation in order to explore various opportunities for setting up commercial and economic partnerships for the progress, development and progress of UAE and Slovakia.
They also discussed regional and international developments, and security challenges facing the European Union. They exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual concern.
The meeting was attended by Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth, and Community Development, and other shaikhs and senior officials.
Fico also opened the Slovak embassy in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Dr Anwar Mohammad Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. Fico also visited the Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
