Dubai, the city of superlatives, is set to get a new tower on Sheikh Zayed Road that will have an artificial beach and a rainforest-like landscape development on top of the tower's podium. Kieferle & Partner is the architect.
Located in Al Thanyah First (Tecom), The Rosemont Hotel & Residences is coming up on approximately 13,000 square metre of land, The project consists of two towers, 47 storeys high with a combined five-storey podium and two basement levels, that will house the facilities.
The towers will have 450 hotel rooms with a sky lobby, sky pool and 280 key serviced apartment tower with a sky lobby, sky pool with an artificial beach with a rainforest like landscape development on top of podium, the consultant said.
“The architecture of the building will represent today, in a city where smart and chic structures have contributed greatly to the destination. The intention of creating an active frontage on Sheikh Zayed Road side is achieved by a common podium proportioning the towers over as a pedestal, as modernism dominates the design,” the company added.
Work has started on the tower with Civil Engineering and Contracting being the main contractor.
No details were available on the developer’s name and when the project is slated for completion.
Dubai developers are currently working on building more iconic towers with Meydan Group working on the 100- plus storeied Entisar Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road. RP Group is also working on launching a super high-rise tower in Business Bay facing Sheikh Zayed Road.
In June 2015, Emporis, a real estate data management firm, said Dubai boasts of the sixth-best skyline in the world with its 686 buildings awarded 20,642 points. Hong Kong (China), with 7,794 buildings and 133,531 points, was named the world's best skyline followed by New York City (US), Singapore, Moscow (Russia), and Seoul (South Korea).
