Nuclear officials to speak at public forum

FANR to highlight six years of achievement in Western Region public forum

Abu Dhabi: The UAE’s Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) will host a public forum in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi on October 20 at 9.45am to introduce residents to FANR’s role in ensuring the safe, secure and peaceful uses of nuclear energy in the UAE.

FANR hosts such forums as part of its efforts to inform UAE residents about the nation’s peaceful nuclear power programme and, in particular, to explain FANR’s role in nuclear safety, security and safeguards. The Western Region forum is the fourth of five FANR is hosting this year; the first three drew large audiences in Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Al Ain. FANR believes that it is its corporate social responsibility to address the public and respond to its questions by hosting public forums around the UAE.
