OMEGA unveils new Speedmaster 38 mm collection in Dubai

The Swiss watchmaker, OMEGA, welcomed guests to an exclusive event at its boutique in The Dubai Mall, celebrating nearly seven decades of the iconic Speedmaster collection.

The occasion gave attendees the opportunity to explore an immersive exhibition tracing the Speedmaster’s journey from its Earth-bound origins to its iconic role within space and Moon exploration.

Many of the collection’s most defining models were on display, showing how the Speedmaster’s design language has evolved through time. Whether it’s the case architecture or dial aesthetics, each timepiece reveals its own story and distinguishing style.

The evening reached its peak with an exclusive first look at OMEGA’s newest release: an updated Speedmaster 38 mm collection. Guests were among the first in the region to view seven new references that bring the 38 mm line even closer to the look of the legendary Moonwatch.

A Refined Evolution

The updated Speedmaster 38 mm collection introduces key design updates that sharpen its familiar look:

• Rounded Subdials: Rounded subdials replace the previous oval layout, enhancing the watch's sporty character.
• Cleaner Dials: Reduced text on the dial creates a streamlined, modern look.
• Classic Bezel: Thicker bezels feature the essential Dot-Over-Ninety (DON) that is synonymous with Moonwatch heritage.
• Updated Bracelet: Presented on a classic five-link Moonwatch-style bracelet with alternating polished and brushed central links, depending on the reference.

At the heart of the line are two self-winding Co-Axial movements: the Calibre 3330 powers six references featuring a date display, while the Calibre 3332 drives a no-date, black-dial reference.
