The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has announced its summer promotions to give residents and visitors sensational opportunities for shopping, dining and entertainment in both Abu Dhabi and Al Ain cities. The Summer #inAbuDhabi extravaganza, running from 27 June to August 3, will offer deals across theme parks, museums, hotels and restaurants, giving families, friends and visitors endless options to escape the summer heat.
In addition, the highly anticipated summer edition of Retail Abu Dhabi (RAD) Rewards, running in partnership with the Department of Economic Development Abu Dhabi from 18 June to 3 August, is also taking place at 21 participating malls across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, offering visitors unique shopping deals and chances to win grand prizes.

The RAD retail initiative includes spectacular offers for shoppers, such as the chance to win an AED1million, waterside apartment when shopping at Aldar Properties’ PJSC (Aldar) malls, which includes Yas Mall, The Mall at World Trade Center Abu Dhabi, Al Jimi Mall and Remal Mall. The Aldar malls are also offering visitors the chance to win weekly giveaways worth AED 80,000.
Line Investments&Property LLC is also running “Mall Millionaire” as part of RAD Rewards, where shoppers have a chance to win AED50,000 each week, as well as a grand prize of AED 1 million at the end of the summer salesat malls including Al Wahda Mall, Mushrif Mall, Khalidiya Mall, Al Raha Mall, Mazyad Mall, Souk Madinat Zayed, Barari Outlet Mall and Foah Mall.

City Centre Mall has weekly prizes of AED 5,000 per week throughout the seven-week campaign, with an incredible grand prize of a Chevrolet Tahoe worth AED 169,600. Other participating malls, including Hili Mall, Bawabat Al Sharq Mall, Bawadi Mall, Marina Mall and Al Raha Mall, are running ‘shop &win’ initiatives with shoppers having the opportunity to win vouchers and entry into raffle draws.

The Summer #inAbuDhabi initiative, meanwhile, will feature exciting offers on Abu Dhabi’s entertainment hub of Yas Island. Over the duration of the summer season, families can make the most of fun in the sun by letting their kids run free, for free. By opting to ‘play and stay’ on Yas Island, families can unlock a world of summer thrills with special hotel rates and deals, as well as enjoying the ‘Kids Go Free’ special with access to the island’s award-winning theme parks, including Yas Waterworld, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, and Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi.
Louvre Abu Dhabi is also participating by offeringthe perfect place to chill out and take in a world of culture and art in the capital. Admission gives access to Louvre Abu Dhabi’s galleries, exhibitions, Children’s Museum and public spaces underneath the extraordinary dome, with kids under 13 entering free of charge. Visit on the last Friday and Saturday of every month for free family themed activities from 2–6pm, join a drop-in creative workshop, discover a drawing session, or take part in a mini-interactive tour. If that isn’t enough, you can take in some history by listening to magnificent tales by storytellers roaming the museum's galleries and exhibitions.
Summer #inAbuDhabiwill also feature hotel promotions with special deals for spa, F&B, rooms and offers for kids, Numerous luxury and family-friendly hotels across the emirate will be offering deals and generous discounts. Anantara Desert Islands Hotel Resort & Spa on the iconic Sir Bani Yas Island is offering a ‘children stay free’ deal to ensure the whole family makes the most of the sea views, wild adventures and everlasting memories the island promises.
Summer #inAbuDhabi also has food fans covered, with a range of hotel F&B deals to satisfy all palates and appetites. If shopping is your idea of fun, the Intercontinental Abu Dhabi offers just what you need. By choosing to stay at any of the Intercontinental Hotel Group’s luxurious Abu Dhabi properties, guests will receive an AED 200 voucher, which can be redeemed at Yas Mall, for each night booked.
To top off all of the fun, the Yas Gaming Festival will return to Yas Mall’s Town Square from August 22 to September 1. Turning into a gamer’s paradise, the Mall’s Town Square will play host to a range of interactive experiences, including cosplay, fun multi-player tournaments, retro arcades, e-sports and virtual reality activations. The Festival will celebrate gaming culture as well as informing parents about kid-friendly games and educational gaming, including tips for controlling playtime for their young ones.
