RTA’s 2030 plan approved by Shaikh Mohammad

RTA(The Roads and Transport Authority’s Traffic and Transportation Plan 2030, was recently approved by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The approved plan includes some landmark projects such as Shindagha Crossing and Dubai Water Canal Stations ect.

 

Shaikh Mohammad expressed his satisfaction at the infrastructure projects listed in the strategic plan 2030 during his visit to RTA headquarters, which is consistent with Dubai’s comprehensive plan 2021 that aims to achieve sustainable development.

 

Shaikh Mohammad reviewed designs and components of some vital projects, including Al Shindagha Crossing, which was designed on the idea of “infinity” to make it a unique feature in Dubai and will be implemented over three phases. Currently the first phase is finished and the second is expected to be implemented in the first quater of next year.

 

Shaikh Mohamamd was also briefed on the details of the RTA’s five-year plan (2017-2021) which aims to pave internal streets in 16 residential areas to meet residents’ needs. The plan also involve planting and beautifying Dubai roads for environmental protection in line with the green economy strategy.
