Beat Turkey to win gold: Italy claim bronze

Dubai, August 31, 2015 – Russia claimed the 2015 Men's U23 World Championship trophy after they beat the struggling Turkish team 3-1 (26-24, 16-25, 25-18, 26-24) in the final of the competition held at Al Nasr Hall in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on Monday.

Russia's outside hitter Egor Kliuka was nominated the MVP for his great role played for the winners throughout the competition.

Italy captured the bronze medal following their exciting win over Cuba 3-1 (25-22, 18-25, 25-23, 25-21).

Russia held off a battling Turkey to win a thrilling 3-1 (26-24, 16-25, 25-18, 26-24) encounter on their path to grab the 2015 Men's U23 World Championship title at Al Nasr Hall in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on Monday.

Russia continued age group run of success at all categories and put their name on this title for the first time in its second edition.

Egor Kliuka's 20 points topped the list of the scores for the winners, followed Pavel Pankov’s 10. including 2 key block to close the intense action with a placing. Metin Toy had 20 points to head the scoring charts of Turkey. Gokhan Gokgoz contributed 16.
