Gulf News -- Saaed, the road traffic management wing of the Ministry of Interior, has increased the service fee for attending road accidents in Abu Dhabi from Dh300 to Dh500, an official from the customer care centre of Saaed said on Wednesday.
The revised fee came into effect on February 1.
The new fee for compiling accident report for motorists will be implemented across all emirates of the country, the official said. In cases in which the person or vehicle at fault is unknown, the service fee will be Dh400. Earlier, this was only Dh50.
Saaed is deputed in the emirates to register minor road traffic accidents.
The new fees were implemented pursuant to Cabinet Decision No. 30 of 2017 regarding the regulation of traffic and traffic safety services, The decision noted that the Dh500 fee is for minor road accident assessment.
