TAG Heuer showcases 2016 collection for the first time in Ski Dubai

The acclaimed Swiss Avant-Garde watchmaker TAG Heuer unveiled its 2016 collection at the Ski Dubai in Mall of the Emirates. The TAG Heuer Middle East team welcomed a plethora of energetic media and influencers to a variety of hot & cold alpine refreshments as well as a first look at the timepieces from their latest collections.

TAG Heuer’s motto #DontCrackUnderPressure was fully brought to the fore, with a range of slope jumps and zip lining activities. The crowd also witnessed an adrenaline pumping demonstration by the two time French champion freestyle skier, Victor Berard, who showcased his mind-blowing skills on the piste.

Formula 1

First launched in 1986, the TAG Heuer Formula 1 collection is one of the longest standing partnerships in the motor racing world. TAG Heuer were the first brand to sponsor a professional driver, the official timekeepers of Formula 1 for over 10 years as well as timekeeping for other world class events, such as, the Indy Racing League and the Indianapolis 500 miles race.

This collection is known for showcasing motor racing features with touches of red, tachymeter scales on chronographs versions, full black versions, luminescent markers for better readability and “easy grip” screw-in crown.

Aquaracer

Ever the pioneer, in 1892, Edouard Heuer filed the first patent for a watertight case in the history of watchmaking. It was an immediate success. Since that time, the Aquaracer (the collection created by TAG Heuer in 2003) has continued to evolve to become a sports watch beloved by men and women in equal measure.

The Aquaracer 300M Ceramic (43mm) Automatic Calibre 5 and Aquaracer Lady 300M Quartz – Full Ceramic (35mm) are now available at stores.

Carrera

Presented for the first time last year at Baselworld, the Carrera HEUER-01 is THE signature Chrono model from the TAG Heuer manufacture. In 2015, the watch formed the cornerstone of a burgeoning new collection, with a new design, a new HEUER-01 in-house calibre based on the 1887 calibre, and a new modular case design with 12 elements enabling multiple combinations of materials and colours.

Three new models of the the hugely successful HEUER-01 include the new metal bracelet in steel or titanium, the all-titanium bracelet as well as the black ceramic and rubber edition.

Monza

The original Heuer Monza is highly sought after by collectors, and has been reissued only a handful of times. So close to the spirit of the original, this model, which celebrates its 40-year anniversary, will undoubtedly represent a milestone in the history of the manufacture's heritage.

The famous original coussin case is the centrepiece, and is all black, just like the historic model, with black and white lacquered hour and minute hands as on the original. A link from past to present, the case is now made from grade 5 titanium (previously steel), making it lighter and more shock resistant.
