After the success of last year’s inaugural Dubai Week in China: Beijing, twin-city Shanghai will host the 2016 edition, taking place October 27-29, with a majority of the events taking place in The Langham, Shanghai, Xintiandi.
Featuring strategic partner Expo 2020 Dubai and official partners Dubai Chamber, DIFC, DMCC, DTCM, Jafza, and Jumeirah, the twin cities will honour their relationship by strengthening connections and encouraging a future full of mutual growth. Events and discussions that focus on business, education, innovation, sport and Expo 2020 Dubai will aid in furthering an understanding of Dubai in the Chinese market with government officials, business and thought leaders, entrepreneurs and investors. Given last year’s success, the event has grown this year, featuring such entities as the UAE Ministry of Economy, Dubai Duty Free and DIFC Courts, among a number of others.
Attendees will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of exciting events taking place at The Langham, Shanghai, Xintiandi, including a business conference, a gala dinner, a partner meeting, a workshop, a Western set dinner and a meeting with DMCC. With 2,000 square metres of adaptable meeting space and a dedicated events-planning team, the hotel is the ideal stage for Dubai Week in China: Shanghai, and guests will have the chance to mingle in venues such as the elegant Xintiandi Grand Ballroom where the gala dinner will take place, and the state-of-the-art Diamond Room where an DMCC will lead an enlightening session.
The Langham, Shanghai, Xintiandi is situated in Old Shanghai, where the hotel’s signature timeless style is well suited to the historic neighbourhood. Blending traditional Chinese elements with chic, contemporary style, the five-star hotel is nestled in the heart of the city’s entertainment and shopping district, allowing Dubai delegates visiting the hotel to make the most of their time in-between the week’s schedule of events. In addition to its excellent meeting spaces, the hotel has just added another branch to its laurel crown as its restaurant, T’ang Court, has just become the first and only restaurant on Mainland China to be awarded three Michelin stars.
Dubai and Shanghai have been twin cities since 2000, sharing a history of fast-paced development and a dynamic vision for the future.
