12 foot high waves and strong winds predicted for next 48 hours
If you are planning to visit the beach either today Wednesday or tomorrow, it may be wiser to postpone your plans to another day, as the UAE has issued a sea alert warning rough seas and waves rising to 12 feet or more.
This is caused by strong northwesterly winds averaging 22 – 45kms per hour and reaching 55kms per hour over the sea, set to blow dust and cause reduced visibility lasting possibly until Friday morning.
They should however bring about a welcome one to three degrees drop in temperature.
But not to worry. There is however plenty to do at the UAE’s modern-day oases – its swanky, sprawling shopping malls – which are cool havens of delight offering a unique blend of shopping, dining, entertainment and more for every member of the family.
