UAE delegation participates in Kazan Summit 2019

KAZAN, WAM – A commercial and business delegation from the UAE attended the Russia-Islamic World International Economic Summit (Kazan Summit 2019) in Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan.

The delegation is headed by Juma Al Keet, Assistant Under-Secretary for International Trade at the Ministry of Economy, and includes representatives from the economic departments, chambers of commerce and industry and investment authorities.

The summit, opened by President Rustam Minnikhanov, is being attended by 3,000 delegates from 53 countries and 27 Russian Federation regions.

In his speech, Al Keet praised the growing economic relations between the UAE and the Russian Federation. Non-oil trade between the UAE and Russia reached US$3 billion in 2018, a 21 percent increase when compared to 2017, he added.
